Hello band.

Here are some points you guys need to tackle and note about when playing th 2 pieces. Its all done by MrLim,so please read it carefully and jot it down.
*If you dont understand or whatsoever,find your section leader. Thanks.

Under the Flag of Glory
Beginning Note was very sloppy and Unfirmed
Chorale: Think of Phrases not everything slurred
Bar 9 and 10: Horn and Saxophone Intonation
Bar 11 to 16: All to work on individual lines
Fig A: Trumpets and Trb to heavy (Light Articulation)
Bar 28: Good Articulation needed for 2nd Trumpet
Bar 40: Harmony
Fig D: Rhythm for all lines
Fig E: Horn Tone + Articulation + Phrase
Fig F: Main Melody too heavy
Bar 78 to 80: Check Intonation
**In General, the march is too heavy and too loud. Aim for Sensitivity and Make meaning out of your music. Forte is a light Dynamic.

Ghost Fleet
Flute: All to practice the solo
Clarinet Ensemble: Selection of players for this part
Bar 9: Horns and Saxophone too Choppy
Bar 11 to 15: Flute Oboe Horn to check intonation
Bar 17: To check notes and Intonation
Bar 18: Baritone Sax Phrases too short
Bar 24: Flute and Oboe Harmony
Bar 18 -25: Eup Phrase ending too abrupt
All Transitions too Un firmed, Causes In stability in piece
Bar 29: Flute entry too Un Firmed
Bar 34: Saxophone too check their entries
Bar 35 to 45: Too loud: Dynamic only mp
Bar 45: Ensemble to take note of stringendo
Bar 46 to 48: Check the Layering and Step up (Articulation to be emphasized)
Bar 52: All entries to check: Especially rhythm (Polphony)
Bar 57: Mallets to focus on pulse
Bar 58: Percussion have to keep regular pulse
Bar 65 tp 70; Articulation
Bar 73 to 79: Blend, focus on chords, Too loud
Bar 84: Trumpets and Horns too loud, Focus on Harmony
Bar 100 to 108: Flutes more than 1st Clarinet
**Focus on Tone Quality and Balance: Forte is a light Dynamic.

so you guys have to practice th portions above and focus on it. also ALL MUST MARK IT DOWN ON YOUR OWN SCORE.
and on th Tuesday's practice,we will be rehearsing it WITHOUT scores.
so everyone please get th scores memorised by Tuesday's practice.
Tuesday's attire is uniform and report at 2.45pm Outside AVAroom.

remember to bring water bottle and pencil. so that you can replenish and jot down things that Mr Lim wants you to note.
thats all. please work hard for th next 2practices.
its not alot but we can achieve alot if we work hard. JIAYOUS everyone!=D
