Memories of Friendship

Bar 1 – 8

First note too short

Can be more together + more clarity in every note

Wrong Balance. It should be like that time how Mr Lim worked it out.

8 bars pharsing (4+4)

Snare drum can be slightly louder and clearer

The upbeat at bar 8 can be much clearer

Trombone articulation can cleaner, less harsh

The passing of melody can be smoother at bar 8

Figure A + B

Melody too stagnant

Accompaniment too choppy

My dynamic contrasts are gone :( Remember my ray of light? :)

Phrasing!

Fanfare articulation can clearer
Dotted crotchet at bar 25-28 should hit and back off

The anacrusis of Figure C is too loud!

Figure C + D

Melody, my phrasing :(

Flutes articulation can be clearer at bar 31-32

Bar 48 semiquavers can be neater

Balance for lower winds + brasses melody can be better

The phrasing of the lower winds + brasses melody are missing

I ‘miss’ my 3^rd trombone :)

Bar 52 semiquavers can be neater

Melody at bar 53 can be clearer in terms of articulation and the balance

Clar 2+3 and Sax 1+2, remember what I told you those 4 bars (53-56) :)

Running notes at 59, where my crescendo? :)

Pick up at Bar 60 can be better

Pick up to E, Flutes + Oboe + Clar 1, you got to play out :)

Usual problems for Sax + Horn + Trombone from bar 62 – 65 Wrong balance too!

Trombone at bar 66 – 97 too choppy! Wrong balance too!

Balance of the melody should be Eup – Tenor sax – Bassoon

Melody can be more legato, articulation too hard

Lower winds + Tuba, 4 quavers at 81, do a crescendo

Bar 90 – 91, Bsn + T.sax + Hrns + Eup, detach every note

Anacrusis of G, still so happy… Sad… :’(

Bar 101-102, where my hope? Give me some hope :)

Bar 104 Lower winds + brasses, detach the 4 quavers

Bar 104 – 105, Picc + Flutes + Oboe + Clar 1+2 + A.Sax 1+2 + Hrns, more legato for the 6 quavers

Balance + Harmony at Bar 106-109 is wrong. My fault, I haven’t fix it :P

My fortepiano at Bar 108 gone :(

Delay the crescendo at 108-109

Look at what’s written! Grandioso a tempo :)

Trumpet at bar 149 + 153 + 169 can be clearer; the crochet at 150 + 154 + 170 can be slightly longer.
